The New York Times ran an article a few years ago about a mother who let her children turn her "trophy penthouse" furniture into art. We're not sure we could go this far . . . but we love that she did!

Oh, it's a great idea! I have to admit to having allowed my daughter to draw on the walls in my hallways, until it finally occurred to me to paint a floor-to-ceiling chalkboard wall in the livingroom.
