Eco Eggs!

Okay, we have been waiting for this one... we knew we needed to wait until it was actually time. Since we have all put away our Mardi Gras beads, we figured now is the time! Oh. My. Gosh.- Someone has created BIODEGRADABLE EASTER EGGS! Sorry for yelling, but if we could indicate yelling while jumping up and down for joy we would. Isn't that the greatest thing!! According to this article, making the switch in Australia alone could save enough energy to power 350,000 homes!! But before we get you too excited, they aren't available for this Easter. Stay tuned for next year and then keep these fun facts in mind... EcoEggs are Made in the USA! (in Minnesota to be exact) And the company is family run! We can't wait for these!

Urban Baby has created a line of bibs and other bits that are whimsical and eco-friendly. Their bibs and placemats are made from fused plastic bags- Love that!

Eco Friendly Pool Toys

What a difference a year makes.  Last year, there was only one company(that we could find) making pvc-free flotation devices but now there is EverEarth, too.  PVC becomes toxic at temperatures above 86 degrees and let's face it the Summer Sun can bring the temp to triple digits.  That's why we love that EverEarth is offering swimming supplies made with biodegradable and phthalate free TPU(thermoplastic polyurethane).  It's definitely the safer choice.

Father's Day is around the corner and we are trying to find gifts for Dads but stumbling upon the perfect gifts for Moms instead.  The Flea Bag is a lust must.  Shira Entis and Alex Bell knew what they were doing when they created this eco-friendly, sturdy carry-all.  Stuff it full of farmer's market produce, your tot's essentials, beach toys, the laptop and more.  The bag is so chic no one will ever guess you're carrying half of your house with you.  We want one stat!  Best part- it's masculine enough that your honey might be willing to tote it for you when it gets too heavy.  Just saying: Win-Win.

April Showers

It's been raining and chilly here in Southern Cali, which is pretty rare for us. Now is generally when we have the 70 degrees and sunny weather we are known for. But it's been raining and we are not complaining. But it has made us realize that we need new rain gear.  Or at least a new umbrella and maybe a raincoat... How cool is this  eco-friendly umbrella from Totes...

A huge fan of Hunter Rainboots,  Kamik boots are a close second. When you out grow or over use these boot you  can recycle them at the end of their life. Find us the puddles!

And you just can't be serious about the outdoors and the environment without having a love fest with Patagonia. Always a must when planning gear for any and all outdoor excursions.
But a part from all the do goodery, these are just genius for anyone who knows little tikes or slightly bigger tikes who like to jump and stomp in very large puddles! We're not sure if this is what they were made for but they are waterproof and lightweight- perfect for these chilly spring rains. And these are in black! No mud stain worries here.
